Living and Longing: Revelation. January 2012

The theme of these four talks is how we live in a fractured world with the prospect of persecution (in whatever form) and keeping our hope fixed on Jesus. There is no other book in the Bible which brings these two themes together better than the book of Revelation Rather than a weird and wacky book tucked away in the obscure final pages of our Bibles, Revelation is a wonderful conclusion to the scriptures. It is a real letter written to real churches in situations of real hardship offering them real hope in a world of chaos and opposition to the restorative rule of King Jesus.

The story of the world in the life of Jesus: Mark's gospel. January - April 2012

At the 09:30 and 18:30 services we will be immersed in the Gospel of Mark through the spring. Some Sundays the theme at the 09:30 and the 18:30 will be the same but on most Sundays they will be different, drawing from different episodes in Mark’s Gospel. We will also be studying from Mark’s Gospel in our home groups and in the Baptism/Christian Discipleship Class that is part of the Alpha on Wednesday evenings.
